Torrevieja City Council promotes federated sport with an investment of 400,000 euros
The Torrevieja City Council has reinforced its commitment to organized and high-performance sports by allocating a total of €400,000 in grants to the city's sports clubs and their athletes during 2025. With this funding, the council continues to support the growth of local sports and facilitate participation in official competitions.
The aim of this investment has been to promote the presence of athletes from Torrevieja in regional, national and international championships, contributing to the sporting development of the municipality and highlighting the talent that exists in the different disciplines.
30 sports clubs benefited
A total of 30 sports organizations have received these municipal grants, including:

Thanks to these grants, clubs have been able to cover essential expenses related to their participation in federated competitions, such as registration fees, travel, equipment, and the purchase of sports gear. This municipal support ensures that athletes have the best possible conditions for training and competing.
Furthermore, participation in official competitions helps to strengthen the local sports base, attract new young people to sports practice and consolidate Torrevieja as a benchmark in multiple disciplines.
The Department of Sports, headed by Diana Box Alonso, fully aware of the value of sport for the health, coexistence and well-being of citizens, reaffirms its commitment to maintain and strengthen this line of aid in the coming years, supporting the work carried out by the clubs and the effort of the athletes of Torrevieja.
