Ánder Martín and Charo Esquiva, winners of the XXVI Torrevieja Sports Gala

The city of Torrevieja celebrated the 26th edition of its Sports Gala this Sunday, January 18th, at the International Auditorium. This event has become a major annual tribute to the effort, perseverance, and achievements of our athletes. This year's gala recognized the sporting merits of the 2025 season, with a total of 116 athletes and 13 teams nominated, in addition to 2 honorary mentions and 3 special mentions.

The gala, which once again has become a meeting point for the entire local sports family, as well as a recognition of the work carried out daily by athletes, coaches, clubs, associations and collaborating entities.

The winners of this 26th edition were:

- Best Athlete of the Year: Ánder Martín (Rowing)

- Best Promising Athlete of the Year: Charo Esquiva (Tennis)

- Best Male Athlete Overall: Ánder Martín (Rowing)

- Best Female Athlete: Paola Bernabé (Handball)

- Best Male Athlete with Functional Diversity: Javier García (Rowing)

- Best Female Athlete with Functional Diversity: Patricia Álvarez (Athletics)

- Best Male Junior Athlete: Alejandro Martín (Karate)

- Best Female Junior Athlete: Charo Esquiva (Tennis)

- Best Male Cadet Athlete: Mazhorau Dziamyan (Kick Boxing)

- Best Female Cadet Athlete: Miley Martínez (Rhythmic Gymnastics)

- Best Male Junior Athlete: Volodymyr Gamzian (Jiu Jiksu)

- Best Female Junior Athlete: Anastasia Salkova (Rhythmic Gymnastics)

- Best Male Junior Athlete: Izan Rogel (Sailing)

- Best Female Junior Athlete: Aitana Sánchez (Rowing)

- Best Coach: Jaime Gómez (   Karate)

- Best Team: Fishing Team (International Marina Nautical Club)

- Best Male Master Athlete: Yury Pashkovich (Jiu-Jitsu and Grappling)

- Best Female Master Athlete: Ana María Ribera (Athletics)

- Best Sports Club or Association: Taiko Kwan Torrevieja Taekwondo Club

- Entities Collaborating with Sport: QUIRÓN and TORREBLANCA DEL MEDITERRÁNEO (TM)

- Special Mentions: Manuel Peñalver Lorente, Alfredo Mercader and Ramón Vera.
