The Councillor for Festivals of the Torrevieja City Council, Rosario Martínez Chazarra, announces the opening of the registration period to participate in the Prize Competition of the Torrevieja Grand Carnival Parade 2026, which will take place on Sunday, February 8, 2026.

Individuals or legal entities, as well as associations, clubs, troupes, educational centers, cultural groups and groups in general, may participate in this competition, provided that they participate in the Grand Carnival Parade Competition and comply with the requirements established in the regulatory rules.

The application period began today, January 21, and will remain open until January 30, inclusive.

To select the winners, a jury or evaluation committee will be formed, whose members will be appointed by municipal resolution, and the results will be published on the notice board of the Electronic Headquarters of the Torrevieja City Council, as well as on the municipal website.

The Councillor for Festivals has encouraged comparsas, peñas, associations, educational centers and participating groups to join this call, highlighting that the Grand Carnival Parade is "one of the hallmarks of Torrevieja and one of the most anticipated and crowded events on the city's festive calendar."
