The councilors for Culture and Youth, Antonio Quesada and Domingo Paredes, respectively, announced the festivals coming to Torrevieja next summer at the International Tourism Fair in Madrid (FITUR). Representatives from the BIGSOUND, Low Festival, and Brilla Torrevieja festivals were also present, presenting their respective programs and explaining why they chose Torrevieja as their venue. Its first edition is expected to draw over 35,000 attendees, with an estimated economic impact of €14 million, in addition to mobilizing more than 1,300 professionals involved in the organization, production, and related services of the festival.
BIGSOUND's audience is characterized by its young and diverse nature, with an average age of around 27. Over 50% of attendees are between 25 and 36 years old, while 24% are between 18 and 24. In its last edition, the festival attracted 69,000 attendees over three days, a figure that is expected to be matched when it comes to Torrevieja.
The Low Festival's artistic lineup consists of more than 65 national and international artists, with prominent names such as Kasabian, The Hives, Editors, Dani Fernández, Fangoria, Love of Lesbian and Ultraligera, among others, consolidating a diverse and highly attractive program for different audiences.
The festival will take place over three days, featuring four stages, an exclusive VIP area, and a carefully curated venue experience—one of the aspects most highly valued by attendees. In fact, over 51.9% of those who attend choose Low Festival for the overall experience, highlighting aspects such as services, security, customer service, and the comfort of the venue.
Regarding the audience profile, Low Festival has an average age of 36.4 years, with a balanced gender distribution (52% women) and a high degree of loyalty, as more than 51.2% of attendees have participated in three or more editions. Furthermore, over 55% of the audience comes from outside the province, with Madrid, Alicante, Albacete, Valencia, and Murcia being the cities with the greatest impact.
From an economic and tourism perspective, Low Festival is a significant driver of local economic activity. Over 51% of attendees choose to visit the city specifically for the festival, and during their stay, 66% spend money in restaurants, bars, and outdoor cafes, 65% take advantage of the beaches, and 33.6% participate in active tourism activities. The average expenditure per attendee exceeds €198.80, generating a direct and significant impact on the local economy.
In terms of media and digital outreach, the festival reaches an impact of over 6.4 million, has more than 225,000 followers on social media, and maintains high interaction and engagement on platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, and Twitter, reinforcing the city's visibility at a national level.
