Torrevieja presents at FITUR the XVIII Drag Queen Gala "City of Torrevieja", one of the great attractions of its 2026 carnival
The mayor of Torrevieja, Eduardo Dolón, and the president of the Torrevieja Carnival, Francisco Pizana, accompanied by the Salt Queen, and the queens and king of the Torrevieja Carnival, presented at the LGTBI Stand of the International Tourism Fair (FITUR) the XVIII Drag Queen Gala “City of Torrevieja”, one of the most emblematic events of the Torrevieja Carnival, which will be held on February 7, 2026 in the International Auditorium.
The presentation of this event at FITUR reinforces the City Council's commitment to Carnival as a tourism product, highlighting the Drag Queen Gala as a unique, inclusive event with national reach, capable of attracting numerous visitors during one of the city's most important festive seasons.
A SIGNATURE SHOW OF THE TORREVIEJA CARNIVAL
The 18th Drag Queen Gala will begin at 9:00 p.m., preceded by a grand pre-party from 7:00 p.m., where the public can enjoy music, a photocall, a 360 machine and sessions by local DJs, creating a festive atmosphere from the moment they arrive at the International Auditorium.
The gala will be directed by Margarita “Kalifata”, runner-up of the fifth season of Drag Race Spain, who will host a night full of spectacle, humor and fantasy.
TOP NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL ARTISTS
During the presentation at FITUR, the presence of renowned artists from various parts of Spain, such as the Canary Islands, Malaga, and Murcia, was highlighted, consolidating this gala as one of the most important on the national drag circuit.
Among the most anticipated performances is that of Drag Sethlas, winner of the 2017 Torrevieja City Drag Queen Gala, two-time winner of the Las Palmas de Gran Canaria Drag Queen Gala, and winner of Drag Race Spain: All Stars. Also performing will be Drag Liak, first-place winner of the 2025 Las Palmas de Gran Canaria Drag Contest, considered one of the leading figures in drag today.
The Drag Queen Gala “City of Torrevieja” has become a key event within the Carnival, combining culture, diversity, creativity and entertainment, projecting the image of an open, modern city committed to diversity.
