The Councillor for Coexistence and Integration, Óscar Urtasun, highlighted that in 2025 a total of 630 social integration reports were prepared, which represents an increase of 66% compared to 2024, mainly for Colombian (42%), Russian (20%), and Moroccan (8%) residents.

The Councillor for Coexistence and Integration of the Torrevieja City Council, Óscar Urtasun, reports that during 2025, the Pangea Office for Migrant Assistance served a total of 2,160 people from 56 different countries, reflecting the diversity and plurality of the migrant population residing in Torrevieja. Of those assisted, 53% were women and 47% were men. Regarding the service channels, 1,324 people received assistance by telephone, while 836 received in-person assistance, demonstrating the accessibility and accessibility of the service.

The countries with the highest representation in the services provided were Colombia (39%), Russia (17%), Morocco (6%), Algeria (4%), European Union countries (9%), and other non-EU countries (25%).

Likewise, the most requested topics by users were: residency by roots (72%), Immigration / National Police procedures (12%) and miscellaneous information / other matters (16%)

66% INCREASE IN REPORTS OF SOCIAL INTEGRATION

Óscar Urtasun highlighted that a total of 630 social integration reports were prepared in 2025, representing a 66% increase compared to 2024, reflecting the rise in applications and the consolidation of the service. Of the total reports issued, 52% corresponded to women and 48% to men, representing a total of 37 nationalities. The countries with the highest number of reports were: Colombia (42%), Russia (20%), Morocco (8%), and Algeria (4%).

It is worth noting the addition of new countries to the demand for social integration reports compared to 2024, such as Jordan, Tanzania, Tunisia, Canada and Israel, which demonstrates the growing diversity of the population served.

ACTIVITIES ORGANIZED BY PANGEA

During 2025, the Pangea Office developed various training and information initiatives aimed at facilitating the social and administrative integration of migrants:

-Spanish courses for foreigners

Two Spanish courses were offered to immigrants in the process of obtaining residency, through theoretical and practical workshops at the Literacy and Basic levels, organized in collaboration with the ATIS Association. These courses aim to promote autonomy, social inclusion, and access to employment.

-Information sessions

In addition, seven information sessions were held for associations and groups, covering topics such as the operation of the Pangea Office, the procedure for applying for residency based on social integration, and the application of the new Immigration Regulations of May 20 (Royal Decree 1155/2024, of November 19). These sessions took place in the Multipurpose Building, in collaboration with organizations such as the Torrevieja Donations Association, the Alma-Asila Association, Cáritas, and the Terra Nostra Association, and were aimed at both non-EU groups and professionals in the field of immigration law (consulting firms and law offices).

-III World Cup of 7-a-side Football

Finally, as part of the initiatives promoting coexistence and integration, the 3rd World Cup of 7-a-side Football was held under the motto "Integration through Sport," bringing together representatives from 12 countries: Senegal, Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay, Colombia, Ecuador, Romania, Ukraine, Brazil, Poland, and Spain. The main objective of this sporting event is to foster intercultural understanding, social cohesion, and respect among the different nationalities present in the municipality.
