The Local Governing Board approves the file to implement drug addiction prevention programs in Primary and Secondary schools
The Local Governing Board of the Torrevieja City Council has approved the tender for the implementation of universal drug and other addiction prevention programs in primary and secondary schools. The proposal includes approval of the tender file, the technical report, the technical specifications, the technical specifications, and the administrative clauses that will govern this bidding process.
The purpose of the contract is the temporary execution of sessions on the prevention of drug dependence and addictive behaviors in the primary and secondary schools and institutes of the city, in accordance with the programs designed by the Community Prevention Unit of Addictive Behaviors of the Torrevieja City Council.
The service will guarantee the correct planning and execution of sessions adapted to different ages and educational levels, with the aim of promoting healthy lifestyle habits, strengthening protective factors against addictions and providing educational tools to both students and the educational community.
The initial term of the contract will cover from January 1, 2026 to December 31, 2027, with the possibility of extension for two additional years (2028 and 2029), which would imply a maximum total duration of four years.
The base budget for the tender amounts to 66,697.12 euros for the first two years of execution, with the total estimated value of the contract, including possible extensions, amounting to 133,394.24 euros for the four years of maximum duration planned.
Regarding guarantees, no provisional guarantee is required, while the final guarantee will be 5% of the final price offered by the winning bidder. Furthermore, a guarantee period of fifteen calendar days is established, starting from the date of the last scheduled activity.
This initiative is part of the municipal strategy for health prevention and promotion, focusing on early and universal interventions in the school environment, considered a key space for values education and the acquisition of healthy habits.
With the launch of this program, the Torrevieja City Council reaffirms its commitment to continue working in coordination with the educational community and specialized professionals to ensure that prevention programs are developed with the highest quality standards, helping young people in Torrevieja to combat drug addiction and other addictive behaviors.
