The mayor of Torrevieja meets with the new board of directors of Apymeco to promote projects to support local businesses

The Mayor of Torrevieja, Eduardo Dolón, held an official meeting this morning with the new Board of Directors of the Association of Small and Medium-Sized Businesses (APYMECO), headed by its president, Jorge Almarcha. The City Councillor for Commerce, Rosario Martínez Chazarra, also participated in the meeting.

The meeting served to officially present the team that makes up the new board of directors of APYMECO, elected after the General Assembly held on January 13th. During the meeting, the members joining the association's leadership for the first time were introduced, marking a new phase in the organization's history as it aims to strengthen the representation of local businesses and improve their competitiveness.

The new board also presented the mayor and the councilor for Commerce with the main lines of work and projects planned for the remainder of the year. Among the proposed initiatives are special campaigns to promote local businesses, awareness campaigns under the slogan "We Don't Consume," and various activities designed to boost shopping in local stores.

Another point addressed during the meeting was the importance of fostering customer loyalty. In this regard, the association is working on launching a specific platform to promote loyalty programs and joint promotions among member businesses, with the aim of strengthening the city's commercial sector.

The City Council has reiterated its commitment to continue working closely with APYMECO to promote initiatives that benefit local businesses, considered a key sector for the city's economy and social life. Both the mayor and the councilor for Commerce have welcomed the proposals presented by the new Board of Directors and emphasized the importance of continuing to work together to support local businesses.
