“A VIEW FROM THE BRIDGE”, THE CLASSIC BY ARTHUR MILLER

On June 6th, at 8:00 pm, the Municipal Theatre will host "A View from the Bridge", one of the great tragedies of contemporary theatre written by Arthur Miller.

Directed by Javier Molina and adapted by Eduardo Galán, the play features a distinguished cast headed by José Luis García-Pérez and María Adánez, accompanied by a top-level ensemble: Ana Garcés, Pablo Béjar, Rodrigo Poisón, Francesc Galcerán, Manuel De Andrés and Pedro Orenes.

Set in 1950s Brooklyn, the story explores family tensions, desire, and morality through the character of Eddie Carbone, whose obsession unleashes a spiral of conflict that culminates in an inevitable tragedy. An intense and profoundly human production that retains all the relevance of the original text.

ZARZUELA “MARINA”, TRADITION AND EMOTION ON STAGE

On June 7 at 7:00 p.m., the Municipal Theatre will host the zarzuela “Marina”, performed by the Alicante Lyric Company together with the Vinalopó Symphony Orchestra.

The work tells the love story between Marina and Jorge, marked by silences, jealousy and social conventions, in a maritime environment that reinforces its romantic and dramatic character.

With musical direction by José Antonio Pérez Botella and a large cast of soloists and choir, this production offers a staging that combines lyrical tradition, live music and careful set design, bringing the zarzuela genre closer to all audiences.

“THE THREECENT OPERA”, WITH COQUE MALLA

On June 19th, at 9:00 PM, "The Threepenny Opera", one of the most iconic works of 20th-century musical theater, with music by Kurt Weill and this time starring Coque Malla, will arrive at the Municipal Theater.

Directed by Mario Vega, this version transports the audience to a London marked by corruption, inequality and social cynicism, where the charismatic criminal Mackie Navaja and the businessman Peachum face off in a power struggle without rules.

With a top-notch cast and live music, the show combines dark humor, social criticism and a provocative aesthetic, offering a contemporary take on this classic that remains as uncomfortable as it is relevant.

ELENA RUSO ACADEMY: 40TH ANNIVERSARY

On June 26th, at 7:00 PM, the International Auditorium will host the 40th Anniversary of the Elena Ruso Academy, a grand festival celebrating four decades of artistic career.

The show will bring together 150 students, from age 4 to adults, in a performance that reflects the academy's evolution, talent, and passion. The program is divided into two parts: the first focuses on urban dance, featuring a recreation of Shakira and Jennifer Lopez's Super Bowl 2000 performance, followed by "The Ballet of Life," an original creation that blends classical, neoclassical, and contemporary dance.

The second part will give way to flamenco-Arabic with the performance of "Salomé", inspired by the work of Carlos Saura, in a show that combines strength, elegance and drama.
