EDU SOTO PRESENTS “WANTED”, A MUSICAL TRAGICOMEDY

On Friday, March 20, at 8:30 p.m., the Municipal Theater will host “Wanted”, the new show by Edu Soto, a stage production that confirms his versatility as a complete artist.

In this work, Soto displays all his interpretive talent combining humor, live music, acting and character creation, accompanied by the musician and composer Isaac Pascual, who provides an original soundtrack that dialogues with the scene.

The story begins with an absurd trial—a man accused of domesticating his dog—to construct a profound metaphor about freedom, identity, and the human condition. Through language that blends comedy and poetry, the performance invites the audience, who become the jury, to reflect on the difficulty of being oneself in a world full of rules and contradictions.

Directed by Carles Alfaro, “Wanted” combines emotion, humor and music in a stage production that goes beyond conventional comedy, offering an experience that connects with the viewer on an emotional level.

PASSION CONCERT, MUSIC TO FEEL HOLY WEEK

On Saturday, March 21, at 6:30 p.m., the Municipal Theater will host the Passion Concert, a musical event that highlights the tradition and feeling of Holy Week.

Performed by the El Prendimiento Musical Group from Águilas (Murcia), the concert will offer a repertoire full of emotion, in which each piece conveys the solemnity, contemplation and spiritual strength that characterize this tradition.

A proposal that connects with the public through sensitivity and collective memory, bringing processional music closer to both lovers of Holy Week and those who wish to discover its cultural and artistic richness.

“MUSIC FOR HITLER”, HISTORICAL THEATER WITH GREAT PERFORMERS

On Sunday, March 22, at 8:00 p.m., the Municipal Theatre will host “Music for Hitler”, an intense theatrical work based on a real episode in the life of the famous cellist Pau Casals.

Considered one of the most important musicians of the 20th century, Casals was a staunch defender of freedom and human rights. After the Spanish Civil War, he went into exile in France, where he actively helped thousands of Spanish refugees. In 1943, during the Nazi occupation, he received the unsettling invitation to perform for Hitler, an event that presented him with a profound moral dilemma.

The play stars Carlos Hipólito, one of the most solid and recognized actors on the Spanish scene, with an extensive career in theater, film and television; Kiti Mánver, winner of the Goya Award and a leading figure in acting in Spain; Dani Muriel, with a distinguished career in theater and television fiction; and Marta Velilla, an actress with a growing projection in the performing arts.

Through an intense and committed text, “Music for Hitler” raises a reflection on ethics, art and individual responsibility in times of conflict, in a staging that combines historical rigor and dramatic emotion.
