The submission period for short films to the Torrerífico Festival 2026 is now open.

Torrerífico , the horror short film festival of the University of Alicante's Torrevieja campus, the Torrevieja City Council's Youth Department, and La Comarca (Torrevieja's alternative leisure association), has published the competition rules in the UA Official Bulletin https://www.boua.ua.es/es/acuerdo/65621 .

The deadline for submitting short films will be September 25, 2026, and all those over 14 years of age who create their audiovisual works of the horror genre with a duration of between 1 and 20 minutes, including the credits, will be able to compete for the first jury prize of €1,000, a second prize of €500 and the audience prize of €200.

The audiovisual pieces, along with the required documentation, must be submitted through a non-perishable link on tools such as Dropbox or Google Drive sent by email to the addresses sede.torrevieja@ua.es and info@torrerifico.com .

The University of Alicante, the Department of Youth and La Comarca encourage all people passionate about audiovisual creation to submit their applications.
