The 6th edition of "Theater for All" concludes on Sunday, May 17th with the puppet show "The Jungle Girl"
All good things must come to an end, and the next show on Sunday, May 17th, at 6:30 pm, at the Virgen del Carmen Cultural Center, will close the 2025-2026 Theatre for All series. This final performance is a puppet show entitled “The Jungle Girl” by the well-known company “Festuc Teatre.” It is recommended for ages 5/6 and up.
The Joaquín Chapaprieta Municipal Institute of Culture announces that this final performance will be completely free with a ticket, which can be collected from the reception desk of the Virgen del Carmen Cultural Center until the day of the performance and/or while supplies last. We simply ask that those who collect a ticket please enjoy it, and if they cannot, give it to someone who can. Let's fill the Virgen del Carmen auditorium once again to celebrate the end of this season.
The Joaquín Chapaprieta Municipal Institute of Culture (IMC) would like to express its gratitude for the warm reception and high attendance at this 6th edition of "Theater for All." We firmly believe that theater can be much more than mere entertainment, and that the performing arts serve as a conduit for new societies, new worlds, and new realities, thanks to the messages, themes, and values conveyed by each of the shows we present. It is a tremendous joy to see the auditorium filled to capacity to watch and enjoy dance, music, theater, puppetry, and circus performances.
SYNOPSIS:
Deep in the jungle, a child is orphaned and left vulnerable to the inherent dangers of the wilderness. This reality changes when a family of gorillas decides to take the baby into their tribe. And so begins the story of our protagonist: Tarzan, a girl who grows up believing she is one of the gorillas. A reflection on the power of relationships and the ability to transform them.
“The Jungle Girl” was awarded the PRIZE for Best Children's and Family Show at the 27th Castilla y León Theatre Fair (Ciudad Rodrigo, 2024).
