The Capella de Ministrers orchestra presents the masterpiece of the Baroque period, "Vespro della Beata Vergine" (1610), by Claudio Monteverdi, in a unique concert in the province at the Torrevieja International Auditorium.
Next Tuesday, May 5th, at 7:30 pm, the Capella de Ministrers orchestra, under the direction of Carles Magraner, will perform a magnificent work by Claudio Monteverdi, considered one of the great geniuses of the transition from the Renaissance to the Baroque, at the Torrevieja International Auditorium. The performance will also feature the participation of the AVocal CdM Choir and the Escolanía de la Mare de Déu dels Desemparats , creating a first-rate artistic ensemble.
Published in 1610, this work marked a turning point in the history of music by integrating Renaissance polyphonic techniques with the new expressive forms of the early Baroque. Here, Monteverdi explores the so-called stile concertato , combining solo voices, choir, and instruments in a constant dialogue that lends dynamism and depth to the work.
The concert offers a rich musical journey, both structurally and emotionally, featuring psalms, sacred concerts, hymns, and the majestic Magnificat , creating an immersive sound experience that stands out for its dramatic intensity and its ability to move the listener.
The performance is interpreted with historical instruments such as baroque violins, viola da gamba, theorbo, harp, organ or cornettos, which allows the original sound of the era to be faithfully recreated and offers an authentic and carefully crafted experience in every detail.
Capella de Ministrers , an internationally renowned ensemble in the recovery of musical heritage, has a long history in the main auditoriums and festivals of Europe and America, establishing itself as one of the most recognized groups in the field of early music.
A MUST-SEE EVENT WITH BAROQUE MUSIC
This unique performance in the province makes the concert an exceptional opportunity to enjoy live one of the great peaks of the Western sacred repertoire.
An experience that transcends music to immerse the viewer in a sound universe where spirituality, emotion and artistic innovation come together in a work that, more than four centuries later, continues to move with the same intensity.
