The International Auditorium will once again host this special gala with musical performances, free bus service, and admission by invitation. The commemorative program will be completed on Sunday, May 10, with the traditional "Europe Day 2026" Petanque Tournament, in which teams from several European countries will participate.
The Department of the Presidency of the Torrevieja City Council, together with the Department of International Residents, is organizing the Europe Day Gala 2026, an institutional and cultural event that will be held next Saturday, May 9, at 7:00 p.m., in the Torrevieja International Auditorium, on the occasion of the commemoration of Europe Day.
This event aims to promote coexistence, integration and a sense of belonging to the European Union among citizens of different nationalities residing in the city, thus reinforcing the multicultural and open character of Torrevieja.
FREE ENTRY WITH INVITATION
Attendance at the gala will be free by invitation only, which can be reserved and downloaded through the website culturatorrevieja.com starting this coming Thursday, April 30, until the available capacity is reached.
The City Council encourages all citizens and international residents to participate in this celebration, which each year brings together a large audience and is consolidating itself as one of the most significant events on the social and cultural calendar of the municipality.
MUSICAL PERFORMANCES AND TRIBUTE TO EUROVISION
The gala will feature local artists, notably the group Sette Voci, who will offer a special repertoire of emblematic Eurovision songs in a musical show designed for all audiences.
This group will also be responsible for performing the institutional part of the event, including the performance of the Anthem of the European Union, one of the most solemn and representative moments of the celebration.
The evening will culminate with a performance by María Isabel, a well-known Spanish artist and winner of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, who will perform some of her most popular songs, including her emblematic song "Antes muerta que sencilla" (I'd Rather Die Than Be Plain), which made her a musical icon for an entire generation.
FREE BUS SERVICE
In order to facilitate attendance at the event, the Torrevieja City Council will provide a special free bus service for the transport of attendees.
The starting point will be located on Gregorio Marañón Avenue, with a scheduled departure time of 6:30 p.m., and the return service will take place at the end of the gala from the International Auditorium.
This initiative seeks to guarantee accessibility and comfort for citizens, promoting participation in a celebration open to the entire population.
