The Parks and Gardens Department of Torrevieja City Council has completed a new planting of seasonal flowers in two prominent locations: Paseo Vista Alegre and Campoamor Street. This initiative is part of the regular plant renewal efforts that ensure the maintenance of green spaces and gardens in optimal condition. These two areas now boast a fresh look, and many people are enjoying them, especially in anticipation of the upcoming summer season.

On Campoamor Street, a rich floral combination of nuances and contrasts has been chosen, composed of calibrachoa, gazania, gypsophila, and surfinia. These species, adapted to the Mediterranean climate, stand out for their high resistance, long flowering period, and ability to create visually striking compositions. Calibrachoa and surfinia provide volume and a showy, ornamental drape, while gazania introduces warm tones and great tolerance to the sun, and gypsophila adds lightness and texture to the whole, creating a natural and dynamic balance.

Meanwhile, along the Vista Alegre Promenade, a differentiated approach has been implemented depending on the area. In the larger flowerbeds, petunias and dimorphothecas have been planted, species widely used in urban landscaping for their abundant blooms and their ability to cover large areas with vibrant color. These plantings reinforce the promenade's Mediterranean character, creating a more lively and attractive environment facing the coastline.

In the area surrounding the Musicians Monument on Paseo Vista Alegre, snapdragons (anthirrhinum) have been incorporated, a vertical plant that provides structure, elegance and a distinctive focal point within the landscape.

The Parks and Gardens Department continues to make progress in the coordinated renovation of green spaces and parks. Councilor Concha Sala stated that the objective of these actions is the maintenance, renovation, and constant improvement of the municipality's green areas, prioritizing efficient landscaping adapted to the climate and aligned with sustainability criteria.
