The City Council emphasizes that the city will continue to maintain a broad cultural, musical and tourist program throughout the year.

The Torrevieja City Council and the BIGSOUND organization have officially announced that the planned edition of the festival in the city will not take place this summer of 2026, after failing to reach the levels of response and ticket sales initially expected to guarantee the development of the event under the proposed conditions.

Both parties have conveyed a message of gratitude to all the people, entities and collaborators who had shown their interest and support for the project during the last few months, especially highlighting the effort made to try to consolidate this musical proposal within the cultural and leisure program of the city.

The BIGSOUND organization has explained that, despite the work done in preparing the event, current circumstances do not allow this year's edition to be developed with the guarantees initially planned, so the project has been postponed to future calls.

Likewise, both the organization and the City Council wanted to send a message of optimism for the future, trusting that the right conditions can be created to resume the festival in future editions and achieve a greater response from the public.

The Torrevieja City Council has emphasized its firm and continued commitment to culture, music, and major events as fundamental tools for the city's tourism and economic promotion, noting that Torrevieja maintains an intense program of concerts, festivals, cultural activities, and top-level events throughout the year.

For its part, the BIGSOUND organization has publicly thanked the institution for its collaboration and willingness to cooperate throughout the process, also expressing its desire to continue exploring future opportunities to return to the city.

“We hope to meet again soon and that the public will respond even more positively on future occasions,” the festival organizers said.
