The Torrevieja City Council, through its Department of Social Welfare, is launching a new edition of the “Concilia Verano 2026” program, an initiative aimed at facilitating the reconciliation of family and work life during the summer period, offering a safe, educational and leisure space for children of the municipality.

This summer school will take place during the months of July and August 2026 at the CEIP Maestro Salvador Ruso, and is aimed at children born between January 1, 2014 and December 31, 2022, that is, children aged between 4 and 12 years old registered in Torrevieja.

The Councillor for Social Welfare, Óscar Urtasun, has announced that the registration period will remain open from today, Monday, May 11, until June 8, and can be formalized either electronically through the Torrevieja City Council's electronic office or in person by collecting and submitting forms at the Social Welfare offices.

The “Concilia Verano” program will have a total of 100 places for the month of July and another 100 places for the month of August, in addition to reserving 10 additional monthly places for students who require specific educational support.

Among the main new features of this edition is the addition of a free lunch service from 2:00 to 3:00 pm for all participating children who request it, as well as the launch of the Morning Classroom from 8:00 am, a measure specially designed to facilitate the reconciliation of those parents who have to go to their jobs early in the morning.

The full program schedule will be as follows:

-8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.: Morning Classroom

-9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.: Recreational and educational activities

-2:00 PM to 3:00 PM: Free lunch service

-2:00 PM to 3:00 PM: Midday Classroom

This municipal Summer School will offer a wide range of recreational, educational and leisure activities adapted to the different ages of the participants, promoting values such as coexistence, camaraderie, creativity, teamwork and healthy habits, always under the supervision of specialized professionals.

The City Council also emphasizes that this program is a fundamental tool to support families in Torrevieja during the summer, especially in those households where both parents work and need municipal resources to guarantee adequate and quality care for their children during the school holidays.

Admission can be requested for full months —July or August— as well as for two-week periods, thus allowing greater flexibility and adaptation to the needs of each family.
