OST: BRAHMS

On Saturday, May 23, at 7:00 p.m., the Torrevieja International Auditorium will host a new concert by the Torrevieja Symphony Orchestra (OST) dedicated to the work of Johannes Brahms, thus closing its 2025-2026 season.

Under the direction of guest maestro Iván Palomares and with Francisco Fierro as soloist, the orchestra will perform two of the German composer's most monumental compositions: Piano Concerto No. 1 and Symphony No. 1.

The program offers a journey through the intensity, emotional depth, and characteristic elegance of Brahms, combining pianistic virtuosity and symphonic power in an evening designed for classical music lovers. This concert will allow you to experience one of the essential figures of musical Romanticism in all his splendor.

HALF AND HALF

On Saturday, May 23, at 8:00 p.m., the Torrevieja Municipal Theatre will host “Half and Half”, a comedy starring David Fernández and Carlos Chamarro.

Known for popular characters like Chikilicuatre, David Fernández shares the stage with Carlos Chamarro, recognized for series such as La que se avecina, Gym Tony or Camera Café, in a proposal full of dark humor, sharp dialogues and absurd situations.

The play presents a situation that is as awkward as it is hilarious: two brothers who, faced with the possibility of losing an inheritance, begin to consider how to hasten the end of a mother who, despite her advanced age, seems to have no intention of leaving.

From this premise, the play develops a succession of secrets, family tensions and crazy plans that turn the story into an irreverent and provocative comedy, where laughter coexists with a critical and biting look at family relationships.

BETTER NOT TO SAY IT

On Sunday, May 24, at 8:00 p.m., the Torrevieja Municipal Theatre will host "Better Not Say It," a comedy starring Imanol Arias and María Barranco, which is already selling its last tickets.

The play, written by Salomé Lelouch and directed by Claudio Tolcachir, arrives in Torrevieja after its success in Buenos Aires and its international tour through Uruguay, Chile and Paraguay, where it sold out.

The story revolves around a married couple who have been together their entire lives and have found the key to their stability in knowing when to speak… and when to remain silent. But everything changes when they both decide, for once, to say exactly what they think.

With humor, irony, and relatable situations, the play builds a fun reflection on cohabitation, relationships, and the truths we often prefer not to speak.

Claudio Tolcachir's direction also brings a dynamic rhythm and a great rapport between the performers, making the show an intelligent, agile and intimate theatrical experience.
