The Municipal Institute of Culture “Joaquín Chapaprieta” inaugurates this coming Saturday, May 23, at 7:00 p.m. in the Station Park, with free admission and for all audiences, the II Cycle of Street Theatre “SALpa Fuera”, an initiative that aims to bring the performing arts to the public space and turn squares and parks into lively stages open to all citizens.

The series will kick off with the contemporary circus performance “LLAR,” by the Federico Menini company, an original and surprising production. “LLAR” (which means “home” in Valencian) is a 50-minute performance that fuses ephemeral architecture with circus arts, using wood as its central element. Through impossible balances and meticulous juggling, the artist constructs a symbolic refuge on stage, inviting the audience to reflect on roots, identity, and the spaces we inhabit.

The show stands out for its unique visual language, full of sensitivity, rhythm and moments of humor, making it an accessible and attractive experience for audiences of all ages, and is especially recommended from 4 or 5 years old.

It is worth noting that “LLAR” has been recognized at the 2024 IVC Awards for Valencian Performing Arts, where it won the award for “Best Circus Show” and the award for “Best Circus Artist”, consolidating itself as one of the most outstanding proposals on the current performing arts scene.

The “SALpa Fuera” series was created to promote culture in the streets, take advantage of the city's excellent climate, and reclaim urban spaces as places for meeting, socializing, and enjoying culture. Over the coming months, this initiative will offer a monthly program of shows designed for all audiences, solidifying Torrevieja's position as a leader in outdoor cultural activities.

The City Council encourages residents and visitors to participate in this unique experience, enjoying street theater in a welcoming, open, and diverse atmosphere. The invitation is clear: come with family, friends, or on your own, and transform every corner of the city into a shared stage where culture takes center stage.
