The Torrevieja International Auditorium becomes the main meeting point for employment in the Vega Baja region with more than 400 job offers
The Torrevieja International Auditorium hosted this morning the "Vega Baja Emplea 2026" Regional Employment Fair, organized by the Valencian Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FVMP), LABORA and the Torrevieja City Council, becoming throughout the day the main meeting point between companies, entities and job seekers from all over the region.
The opening ceremony was attended by the Mayor of Torrevieja, Eduardo Dolón; the Secretary General of the FVMP, Miguel Bailach; and the Director General of Planning and Services of LABORA, María Luisa Mezquita, who welcomed the attendees at the Torrevieja International Auditorium.
The fair has seen a significant influx of visitors since early morning, with hundreds of people visiting the various information tables on the premises to learn firsthand about available job opportunities, submit resumes, and make direct contact with human resources managers from participating companies.
OVER 400 JOB OFFERS IN A SINGLE DAY
One of the main attractions of this first edition of “Vega Baja Emplea” has been the presence of nearly 50 companies and entities, which have made available to attendees more than 400 job offers corresponding to sectors as diverse as hospitality, commerce, services, industry, logistics, construction, social and healthcare or new technologies.
Throughout the morning, quick selection interviews, resume collection, and professional meetings were held, allowing direct contact between companies and candidates, thus facilitating the hiring process and improving job placement opportunities.
A SPACE TO FIND WORK AND IMPROVE PROFESSIONALLY
In addition to those currently unemployed, the fair has also attracted numerous workers interested in learning about new job opportunities and improving their professional conditions, consolidating this event as a useful tool to boost the labor market in the region.
The initiative has also served to bring citizens closer to the guidance, training and employment resources offered by different administrations and specialized organizations.
The mayor of Torrevieja highlighted the importance of holding these types of events in the city and thanked the Valencian Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FVMP) and the Valencian Employment and Training Service (LABORA) for choosing Torrevieja as the venue for this first regional job fair. Dolón emphasized that collaboration between government agencies and businesses is essential to meeting the current needs of the labor market.
“Creating jobs and attracting opportunities is one of the best social policies an administration can implement. Behind every job offer is a life plan, a family, and a chance for the future.” The mayor also pointed out that the economic and demographic growth Torrevieja is experiencing requires continued support for initiatives that promote employability and training.
