Application period for the 2025-2026 School Transport Expenses Grant opens on July 3, 2026

Object

These Terms and Conditions are intended to regulate the granting , under a competitive process, of individualized financial aid intended to help pay for expenses related to school transport for students enrolled during the 2025-2026 academic year in Early Childhood Education (2nd cycle), Primary Education, Compulsory Secondary Education, Basic Vocational Training Programs and Basic Qualification Training Programs (PFCB), Baccalaureate, Intermediate Vocational Training and Higher Vocational Training.

The aid will be granted for a maximum period of 10 months. between September 1, 2025 and June 30, 2026 .

Beneficiaries

a) Be registered and reside in the municipality of Torrevieja, both the student and their parents or legal representatives, at least for the two uninterrupted years prior to the application and for the entire 2025/2026 school year.

b) The parents or legal representatives of the beneficiary student —or the student himself or herself, when he or she is of legal age— must not be involved in any of the circumstances provided for in art. 13.2 of LGS 38/2003.

c) Be up to date with their tax obligations (AEAT), Social Security (TGSS), and the Torrevieja City Council
This requirement will be demonstrated by means of a signed declaration of responsibility, included in the application form.

d) Not to have any outstanding justification for any grant previously awarded by the Torrevieja City Council, provided that the deadline for justification has passed. This requirement will be certified by means of a duly signed declaration of responsibility, included in the application.

Amount

The maximum individual amount of aid will be up to a maximum of seventy-five euros (€75.00) per month per student for those who use school transport with two (2) daily journeys for a maximum period of ten (10) months, between September 1, 2025 and June 30, 2026 .

In accordance with the provisions of Article 19.3 of the LGS 38/2003, the amount of the aid, individually or in conjunction with other aid granted for the same purpose, may not exceed the total cost paid for the school transport service.

If this limit is exceeded, the aid will be reduced by the corresponding amount.

The maximum income of the entire family unit to be eligible for these benefits will be sixty-five thousand euros (€65,000.00) in the fiscal year 2025 (income tax return filed in 2026).

Place and deadline for submission

The standard application form will be available on the Torrevieja City Council website (www.torrevieja.es) in the Aid and Subsidies section, where you can also find information and documentation related to this call for applications.
Any application submitted following a procedure other than the one described here will be inadmissible.
The application period will be from July 3rd to 31st, 2026, both inclusive.

The application for aid will be submitted:

 in person, at the General Registry of the Torrevieja City Council, or
 electronically, through the Torrevieja City Council's electronic office,

They may also be submitted at any of the places provided for in article 16.4 of LPACAP 39/2015.
