Professors Marta Andreu and Katherine Valera will lead a project based on experimentation, contemporary creation and interdisciplinary work that will culminate in an exhibition open to the public.

The Torrevieja Municipal School of Academic Dance, part of the "Joaquín Chapaprieta" Municipal Institute of Culture, will launch the workshop "Creative Synergies 2.0. A new encounter between musicians and dancers," a free training initiative that will take place from July 27 to August 1 at the Virgen del Carmen Cultural Center, and which aims to bring musicians and dancers closer to a joint process of contemporary artistic creation.

The workshop will be led by professors Marta Andreu and Katherine Valera, who will guide participants in a learning environment where music and dance merge to develop new forms of artistic expression and interpretation. Over six days, participants will work collaboratively, sharing experiences and discovering new creative tools from an interdisciplinary perspective.

Each session will take place from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. The first hour will be dedicated to collaborative work between musicians and dancers, exploring the relationship between the two disciplines, while the second hour will focus on the creative process and the development of collective artistic proposals. The results of this work will be presented on Saturday, August 1st, at 12:00 PM, with a "Work in Progress" exhibition open to the public, in which participants will share the process they developed during the week.

The workshop is aimed at musicians, vocalists, and dancers aged 11 and up. Musicians and vocalists must demonstrate a minimum of three years of instrumental training and performance experience, in addition to providing one or two previously rehearsed musical pieces from their repertoire. Dancers must have a minimum of two years of formal or certified training in classical dance.

Participation is free, subject to acceptance of the application. Registrations must be made through the general application form on the website of the Municipal Institute of Culture, while musicians must submit their proposed repertoire pieces, along with their personal information, to the email address of the Municipal School of Dance. Katherine Valera is the teacher responsible for coordinating the project.

With this initiative, the Torrevieja Municipal Dance School continues to commit to innovative artistic training, fostering the exchange of experiences between different disciplines and offering young performers an opportunity to develop their creativity in an environment of collaboration and experimentation.
