The Valencian Regional Government allocates 289,000 euros to improve the thermal comfort of 21 public educational centers in Torrevieja

The plan will benefit 14 centers for Infant, Primary, Special Education and Adult Training, with 151,500 euros, and seven centers for Secondary and special education, with another 137,500 euros.

The aim is for students and teachers to carry out their daily activities in healthier, safer and more suitable spaces, thus reinforcing the quality of public education in Torrevieja.

The Torrevieja City Council reports that the Valencian Regional Government is promoting the Thermal Comfort Plan in Torrevieja's public schools, with a total investment of 289,000 euros, with the aim of improving the environmental conditions of the facilities and promoting the well-being of students, teachers and the rest of the educational community.

This project encompasses a total of 21 public educational centers in Torrevieja, enabling improvements to adapt their spaces to the high temperatures and move towards more comfortable and suitable facilities for the development of teaching activities.

The plan's budget is divided into two main parts. First, €151,500 is allocated to 14 centers for Early Childhood Education, Primary Education, Special Education, and Adult Education. Second, €137,500 is allocated to seven centers for Secondary Education and specialized programs.

151,500 EUROS FOR CHILDREN, PRIMARY EDUCATION AND ADULT TRAINING

The aid for this block is distributed as follows:

-CEIP Maestro Salvador Ruso: 14,000 euros.

-CEIP Amanecer: 10,000 euros.

-CEIP Ciudad del Mar: 14,000 euros.

-CEIP Cuba: 9,000 euros.

-CEIP El Acequión: 14,000 euros.

-CEIP Habaneras: 13,000 euros.

-CEIP Inmaculada Concepción: 5,000 euros.

-CEIP Las Culturas: 14,000 euros.

-CEIP Maestro Lafuente: 10,500 euros.

-CEIP Nuestra Señora del Rosario: 13,000 euros.

-CEIP Number 15: 11,000 euros.

-CEIP Romualdo Ballester: 9,500 euros.

-CEIP Virgen del Carmen: 9,500 euros.

-Public Adult Education Center: 5,000 euros.

137,500 EUROS FOR SECONDARY AND SPECIAL REGIME EDUCATION

In the case of institutes and centers of special regime, the amounts foreseen are the following:

-Official Language School of Torrevieja: 25,000 euros.

-IES Las Lagunas: 25,000 euros.

-IES Mare Nostrum: 19,000 euros.

-IES Mediterráneo: 18,000 euros.

-IES Number 1-Libertas: 21,000 euros.

-IES Torrevigía: 20,500 euros.

-Section of the IES Torrevigía in Torrevieja: 9,000 euros.

With this plan, Torrevieja takes an important step in improving its public educational infrastructure, addressing a particularly relevant need in a municipality characterized by the high temperatures recorded during much of the school year.

The investment will allow each center to undertake the necessary work to increase the thermal comfort of its facilities, according to its specific characteristics and needs. The goal is for students and teachers to carry out their daily activities in healthier, safer, and more suitable spaces, thus strengthening the quality of public education in Torrevieja.
