La Mata celebrates its popular summer festivities with six nights of music, open-air dances and shows

The Plaza Encarnación Puchol will once again become, from July 24th to August 8th, the meeting point for festivities deeply rooted in the district.

The coronation gala for the Queen of the La Mata Festival 2026, Carlota Sánchez Perelló, will be held on Saturday, August 1st, at 9:00 PM, and will feature performances by Diego Martín and El Número Uno. The program also includes performances by Retropop, José Sánchez, Etiqueta Show, and Mr. Hyde, as well as DJ sets, dance troupes, and traditional open-air dances.

The Department of Festivals of the Torrevieja City Council has organized a wide program for the La Mata Summer Festivals 2026, which will take place between Friday, July 24, and Saturday, August 8, in the Encarnación Puchol square.

These celebrations are among the most popular, well-attended, and crowded events of the summer in the village of La Mata. For six nights, locals, residents, and visitors can enjoy live music, orchestras, DJ sets, dance performances, and lively street parties.

The program will begin on Friday, July 24, at 10:00 p.m., with a big open-air dance party featuring a DJ and dance troupe.

On Saturday, July 25th, in the evening, Retropop will perform a live concert, offering a journey through the greatest pop and rock hits of the 80s and 90s. The night will continue with a DJ set by José Sánchez.

On Friday, July 31, starting at 10:00 p.m., the Encarnación Puchol square will host a new grand popular festival with a performance by the Etiqueta Show orchestra.

CORONATION OF THE QUEEN OF THE LA MATA FESTIVITIES 2026

One of the central and most anticipated events of the program will be the coronation gala of the Queen of the La Mata 2026 Festival, which will be held on Saturday, August 1, at 9:00 p.m., in the Encarnación Puchol square.

The young Carlota Sánchez Perelló will take over from the current Queen of the Festivals, Arantxa Pérez Fiol, in a gala that will feature a performance by Diego Martín and El Número Uno and, after the coronation and the musical performances, the party will continue with a set by one of the best DJs of the moment.

The Summer Festival will return on Friday, August 7th, from 10:00 PM, with a big open-air dance featuring a performance by Mr. Hyde, followed by another DJ set.

The program will conclude on Saturday, August 8, starting at 10:00 p.m., with a large popular festival and a spectacular mobile disco, featuring a DJ and dance troupe.

The Torrevieja City Council invites residents and visitors to participate in festivities that every summer bring together a large public and turn the Plaza Encarnación Puchol into the main stage for music, community and fun in La Mata.
