The new urban transport lines have frequencies of between 14 and 30 minutes during the high season

The Torrevieja City Council's Department of Transport informs of the established frequencies for the new urban transport lines during the high season, corresponding to the months of July and August and Holy Week.

The new service organization includes one circular line, eight daytime lines, and three nighttime lines. Frequencies will be adapted to different time slots and the anticipated demand on weekdays, Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.

Generally, daytime bus routes will begin operating around 7:00 a.m. and will end between 11:15 p.m. and 11:45 p.m., depending on the route and the terminus stop. Buses will run every 14 to 30 minutes.

CIRCULAR LINE

The Circular Line has its first departure from 7 Gregorio Marañón Street at 7:00 a.m., and the last at 11:15 p.m. From Monday to Thursday, buses run every 15 minutes between 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m.; every 18 minutes between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.; and every 17 minutes from 5:00 p.m. until the end of service. On Fridays, buses run every 14, 20, and 17 minutes, respectively. On Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays, buses run every 15 minutes throughout the day.

LINES 1, 2 AND 3

Line 1, with termini at the Torrevieja University Hospital and Mar Rizada Street, runs every 20 to 25 minutes from Monday to Friday between 7:00 and 10:00. From 10:00 to 21:00, the frequency is 30 minutes, reducing to 25 minutes until the end of service. On Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays, the frequency is 22 minutes between 7:00 and 10:00; 30 minutes until 21:00; and 25 minutes during the last part of the day.

Line 2 , between the University Hospital and Denia Avenue, runs every 25 minutes from 7:00 to 8:00 AM, every 30 minutes until 9:00 PM, and then every 25 minutes until the end of service, Monday to Friday. On Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays, it runs every 25 minutes throughout the day.

Line 3 , with termini at Gregorio Marañón, 7, and the University Hospital, runs every 17 minutes from Monday to Friday between 7:00 and 8:00 a.m.; every 20 minutes between 10:00 a.m. and 9:30 p.m.; and every 17 minutes until the end of service. On Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays, the frequencies are every 14 minutes between 7:00 and 8:00 a.m.; every 20 minutes between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.; every 17 minutes until 9:30 p.m.; and every 14 minutes for the final leg of the journey.

LINES 4, 5 AND 6

Line 4 , between Gregorio Marañón, 7, and Rossini Street, next to the La Siesta health center, runs every 17 to 20 minutes until 10:00 AM, every 25 minutes between 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM, and every 18 minutes until the end of service, Monday through Friday. On Saturdays, it runs every 18 minutes until 10:00 AM and every 20 minutes for the rest of the day. On Sundays and public holidays, the frequency is 18 minutes throughout the day.

Line 5 , between Gregorio Marañón, 7, and Plaza Tolosa, runs every 25 minutes between 7:00 and 10:00 every day. Between 10:00 and 21:30, it runs every 30 minutes from Monday to Saturday and every 27 minutes on Sundays and public holidays. From 21:30 until the end of service, the frequency is every 27 minutes every day.

Line 6 , with termini at Gregorio Marañón, 7, and Avenida de Holanda, next to the La Mata health center, offers some of the least frequent service on the new network. From Monday to Thursday, buses run every 18 minutes between 7:00 and 8:00, every 20 minutes until 21:00, and every 17 minutes until the end of service. On Fridays, the frequencies are 20, 25, and 17 minutes; on Saturdays, 18, 20, and 18 minutes; and on Sundays and holidays, 18, between 18 and 20, and 18 minutes, respectively.

LINES 7 AND 8

Line 7 , between Gregorio Marañón, 7, and Calle Mayor, 59, runs every 22 minutes from 7:00 to 9:00 and every 24 minutes until 21:00, Monday to Friday. On Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays, the frequencies are 20 and 22 minutes, respectively. From 21:00 until the end of service, the frequency is 20 minutes every day.

Line 8 , with the same termini, runs every 17 minutes between 7:00 and 10:00 from Monday to Friday, and every 18 minutes until 21:00. On Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays, buses run every 14 minutes during the first period. Between 10:00 and 21:00, buses run every 17 minutes on Saturdays and every 16 minutes on Sundays and public holidays. After 21:00, buses run every 16 minutes daily.

THREE NIGHT BUS LINES UNTIL 3:30 AM

The new urban transport system also includes three night lines, which operate every day with a frequency of 60 minutes.

Night bus 1 connects Gregorio Marañón, 7, with Calle Mayor, 59; Night bus 2 links Gregorio Marañón with Plaza Tolosa; and Night bus 3 connects Gregorio Marañón with the CV-95, in the Doña Monse area.

The first departures from the outer terminals are at 00:00 and from Gregorio Marañón at 00:30. The last departures are at 3:00 from the outer terminals and at 3:30 from Gregorio Marañón.

With these frequencies, the new urban transport network expands the time coverage and facilitates travel between the city center, residential areas, La Mata and the University Hospital during periods of higher population and mobility demand.
