The Torrevieja Municipal Theatre will host two cultural events this weekend aimed at different audiences: a new edition of the Candlelight concert series and a performance of the comedy "Lo que callamos a los 30" (What We Keep Silent at 30 ).

A CANDLELIGHT TRIBUTE TO COLDPLAY AND IMAGINE DRAGONS

On Friday, August 21, the Municipal Theatre will be transformed into an intimate stage illuminated by thousands of candles to host a new edition of Candlelight, the successful concert series that offers the public the opportunity to enjoy live music in a unique atmosphere.

This time, the program will be dedicated to Coldplay and Imagine Dragons , two of the most influential bands in contemporary pop-rock. The Salzillo Quartet will perform string arrangements of some of their best-known songs.

The repertoire will include songs such as “Clocks”, “Fix You” and “Viva la Vida” by Coldplay, as well as “Radioactive”, “Believer”, “Thunder” and “Bad Liar” by Imagine Dragons.

The concert will combine the excitement of live music with Candlelight's signature ambiance, offering an immersive experience that will allow you to rediscover, from a different perspective, the repertoire of two groups that have marked an entire generation.

HUMOR, SECRETS AND ENTANGLEMENTS IN WHAT WE DON'T TALK ABOUT IN OUR 30s

The program will continue on Sunday, August 23, at 9:00 p.m., with the performance of Lo que callamos a los 30 (What We Keep Silent at 30 ), a comedy of errors that mixes humor, secrets, lies and absurd situations.

The play tells the story of three friends who, tired of feeling invisible, turn a supposed book club into the perfect place to talk about everything they never dare to say.

The tranquility of their encounters will be disrupted by the unexpected appearance of the daughter of one of them, triggering a succession of lies, improvisations and situations as absurd as they are hilarious with which they will try to keep their secrets safe.

The show stars Mercedes Salvadóres, an actress with extensive experience in theater, film and television; Lara Dibildos, one of the best-known performers and presenters on the national scene; and Fran Antón, an actor, director and theater producer with a consolidated career on the stage.

The cast is rounded out by Amor Romeira, known for her television career and growing presence in the theater world, and Miriam Vázquez, an actress with experience in various stage productions. This ensemble combines experience, freshness, and a remarkable sense of comedy.
