Torrevieja Audiovisual will screen ten national short films on September 4th and 5th at the Municipal Theatre
The Councillor for Culture of Torrevieja City Council, Antonio Quesada, and the filmmaker and festival organizer, Lidiana Rodríguez, today presented the program for Torrevieja Audiovisual 2026, the National Short Film Festival, which will be held on Friday, September 4th and Saturday, September 5th at the Municipal Theatre. The festival will offer two screenings starting at 9:00 PM, each lasting approximately an hour and a half. Admission is free with an invitation. The 2026 edition brings together ten Spanish short films produced during the last two years, selected from fiction and animation works, combining emerging talent with established filmmakers.
Antonio Quesada emphasized that “Torrevieja Audiovisual allows the public to experience a carefully curated selection of contemporary Spanish short films and meet the people behind each work.” The Councilor for Culture added that “the City Council continues to support this well-established initiative in the city’s cultural program, which since 2011 has offered free, high-quality cinema to all audiences in Torrevieja.”
For her part, Lidiana Rodríguez pointed out that “all the selected works will be screened for the first time in Torrevieja and we will have the presence of the filmmakers, who will present their work and share the creative process with the public before each screening.”
