Youth presents its Autumn Agenda with 15 proposals for training, leisure and participation
The Councillor for Youth of Torrevieja City Council, Domingo Paredes, announces that the Autumn 2026 Youth Agenda is now available, featuring a total of 15 activities and events for the months of October, November, and December. The program combines training, educational leisure, free time, and youth participation, with opportunities to learn, share experiences, and develop new skills.
Among the highlights is the ninth edition of Torrerífico, the Torrevieja Horror Short Film Festival, which will be held on Saturday, October 24th at the Virgen del Carmen Cultural Center, with free admission. The festival has received 173 short films from all over Spain, a record number of entries.
Also within the framework of proposals related to Halloween, the Youth Council has scheduled a trip to PortAventura World for young people from Torrevieja during the weekend of November 7 and 8.
The program also includes activities in collaboration with the La Comarca Youth Association, among them a Harry Potter-themed day on Saturday, November 7. This event will take place at the Youth Leisure Center, located in the municipal multipurpose building on Avenida de las Habaneras.
TRAINING IN NEW TECHNOLOGIES, LANGUAGES AND CREATIVE ACTIVITIES
The training program is another key component of the schedule. Throughout the term, Microsoft 365 office automation courses will be offered to secondary school students, while in October, an A2 level English course and a dance course for entertainers are planned.
In November, proposals will begin for learning how to use artificial intelligence tools, such as Gemini and Copilot, and the introductory course to Russian, at level A1.
For December, the agenda includes a podcasting workshop, a mixing and DJ workshop, the "Discover Your Talent" workshop, and a dog training course, completing an offering that covers digital skills, language learning, and creative activities.
Domingo Paredes also announced that registration is now open for the official course for monitors of educational leisure and free-time activities for children and young people, aimed at young people registered in the Youth Guarantee program. This training, included in the Young Talent 2026 program, will begin on October 19.
