Under the direction of Maestro José Miguel Rodilla, the OST presents a program exploring the influence of the German composer on the passionate French school of the 19th century. The program will begin with Beethoven's celebrated Egmont Overture, followed by Édouard Lalo's Cello Concerto, featuring cellist David Apellániz as soloist.

The closing performance will feature one of Beethoven's most universal compositions, the monumental Symphony No. 5 in C minor. The audience will experience its celebrated musical journey from the darkness of fate to triumph, a heroic and revolutionary narrative that profoundly shaped the evolution of European Romantic music.

With this performance, the Torrevieja Symphony Orchestra begins a season especially linked to the figure and legacy of Beethoven.

On Sunday, October 11, starting at 10:00 a.m., the Torrevieja International Auditorium will host the third edition of the Iron Canary Fest – Eusebio Esteban, one of the great fitness and bodybuilding events that returns to the city thanks to Emilio Martínez Productions.

The competition will bring together outstanding athletes who will take to the stage with the aim of obtaining the coveted professional card awarded by the IFBB Pro League, one of the great sporting attractions of the day.

Following the success of its previous edition, the organization hopes to surpass last year's attendance records, bringing together athletes, professionals and amateurs linked to the world of fitness and bodybuilding in Torrevieja.

The sporting event will also be accompanied by an EXPO in the International Auditorium itself, where leading companies in the sector will present their new products coinciding with the competition.

TORREVIEJA OFFICIALLY RECEIVES RECOGNITION AS VALENCIAN CULTURAL CAPITAL 2025

Also on Sunday, October 11, but at 11:00 a.m., the Torrevieja Municipal Theatre will be the setting for the Gala of the Valencian Cultural Capital, an institutional event in which the city will officially receive the recognition that accredits it as Valencian Cultural Capital 2025 in the category of municipalities with more than 5,000 inhabitants.

During the ceremony, the award will be presented to the city. Torrevieja has shared this title with the Valencian municipality of Macastre, which received the award in the category of towns with fewer than 5,000 inhabitants.

The gala will also feature the participation of the Conservatory, the Choir School and the Dance School, incorporating music, singing and dance into a day that is especially significant for the culture of Torrevieja.

The Valencian Cultural Capital distinction seeks to recognize the commitment of municipalities to culture as an instrument of social cohesion and economic revitalization, as well as to promote decentralization and access to cultural offerings throughout the Valencian Community.
