Torrevieja will celebrate Valencian Community Day and the feast of Our Lady of the Pillar in the Plaza de la Constitución and the Paseo Vista Alegre.

Mayor Eduardo Dolón will preside over the celebration on October 9th at 11:00 a.m. in the Plaza de la Constitución, which will include the raising of the Senyera flag and the presentation of awards to Civil Protection volunteers.

Torrevieja will host the celebrations for Valencian Community Day and the feast day of Our Lady of the Pillar, patron saint of the Civil Guard, on October 9th and 12th. The Plaza de la Constitución, the Church of the Immaculate Conception, and the Vista Alegre promenade will be the venues for these events, which will combine official ceremonies, music, and tributes.

OCTOBER 9: CELEBRATION OF THE DAY OF THE VALENCIAN COMMUNITY

Next Friday, October 9, at 11:00 a.m., the Plaza de la Constitución will host the institutional event on the occasion of the Day of the Valencian Community, presided over by the mayor of Torrevieja, Eduardo Dolón.

The celebration will include the raising of the flag of the Valencian Community and the participation of the band of the Torrevieja Musical Union (UMT), which will perform the anthem of Torrevieja, the anthem of the Valencian Community and the anthem of Spain.

Following this, awards will be presented to volunteers from the Torrevieja Civil Protection service. This will be an opportunity to recognize their dedication, commitment, and vocation for service, as well as their contribution to the care and protection of the community.

The celebration will thus bring together the commemoration of Valencian identity and the recognition of those who dedicate their time and effort to the service of others.

OCTOBER 12: FEAST OF OUR LADY OF THE PILLAR AND TRIBUTE TO THOSE WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES FOR SPAIN

On Monday, October 12, Torrevieja will celebrate the feast of the Virgin of Pilar, patron saint of the Civil Guard, with a program that will begin at 12:00 noon with the celebration of Holy Mass in the parish of the Immaculate Conception.

Once the religious ceremony has concluded, a military ceremony will take place on the Vista Alegre promenade, open to the public. During the ceremony, the National Flag will be raised and a tribute will be paid to those who gave their lives for Spain.

The day will be an opportunity to accompany the members of the Civil Guard in the celebration of their patron saint and to express recognition of their work in public service and protection of citizens.

Finally, the Torrevieja City Council invites residents and visitors to participate in both celebrations and share these days of commemoration and recognition.
