The University of Alicante will inaugurate the course "Artificial Intelligence Applied to Healthcare Management" tomorrow, Tuesday, October 20, at 4:00 p.m. at the new Torrevieja Inter-University Center, located in the AGAMED building. This university initiative aims to provide artificial intelligence tools to improve decision-making and address problems at various levels of healthcare management.

Organized by the University of Alicante through its Torrevieja branch, the course will offer eminently practical training, with applications in hospitals, primary and social care centers, as well as in public administration and private healthcare entities.

The proposal is part of the GESTAS Classroom, the permanent classroom for health management and technology applied to health , created by the UA based on the needs identified during a consultative process with the University Hospital of Torrevieja, the Quirónsalud Hospital of Torrevieja and the City Council, which has among its staff professionals in Nursing, Psychology and Social Work, among other areas linked to the health field.

PRACTICAL TRAINING TO APPLY AI TO REAL-WORLD SITUATIONS

The program combines healthcare and technological knowledge to facilitate the use of artificial intelligence in real-world management situations. Its main features include personalized tutoring, direct application of the content to practical cases, and the opportunity to transfer the learning to different professional settings.

The course will be taught by university professors specializing in Computer Engineering and Health Sciences, along with healthcare professionals. This combination will allow participants to explore technological tools from the perspective of their usefulness for those managing services, resources, and healthcare processes.

The training is aimed at university graduates and professionals in groups A1 and A2. Those who pass the course will obtain accreditation for 40 hours of university training and 4 ECTS credits .

In-person sessions on Tuesdays and online sessions on Thursdays
