Hot Chip, first international confirmation for Low Festival 2026
Low Festival has announced Hot Chip as the first international act confirmed for its 2027 edition, which will take place on July 30th and 31st and August 1st at Antonio Soria Park in Torrevieja. The British band joins Siloé , Shinova , La La Love You , Sanguijuelas del Guadiana , Elyella , Puño Dragón , Cervatana , Perfecto Miserable , Ultralágrima , 1111 , and Grumpys , the eleven names the festival revealed on Tuesday.
HOT CHIP, WITH NEW ALBUM
Alexis Taylor and Joe Goddard formed Hot Chip in London in 2000, and with Al Doyle, Owen Clarke, and Felix Martin, they have established the band as one of the best at blending pop and dance music over the last two decades. Their second album, "The Warning," was a Mercury Prize finalist and gave us tracks like "Over and Over" and "Boy From School," while "Ready for the Floor" earned them a Grammy nomination for Best Dance Recording. They have released eight studio albums, six of which reached the UK Top 20.
The British band will arrive in Torrevieja with a new album. In January, they will release “A Long Way From Kansas,” their ninth album: eleven darker and more distorted tracks, featuring guest vocals from Beth Ditto and Eddie Chacon. The album includes the single “Random Violence,” a tribute to their friend Keith McIvor, DJ of Optimo. The album follows “Joy in Repetition” (2025), their first compilation album, and a 2026 in which they celebrated the twentieth anniversary of “The Warning.”
