Registration for the eight courses of the Open University program for seniors, scheduled for each of the eight months of the academic year, between October 2026 and May 2027, has exceeded, to date, one hundred interested parties: a total of more than one thousand applications.

The first course, in October, on Life on the Banks of the Nile (Ancient Egypt), taught by Santi Mallebrera, was closed at the Virgen del Carmen Cultural Center with an average of 176 attendees in the six sessions and a bureaucratic peak of 205 registrations.

This November, the second course, Contemporary Art: An Incomprehensible Art?, focusing on the before and after of the Generation of '27, has begun. It is taught by Professor Laura Mínguez Valdés, with an enrollment of 150 students, who are attending the Torrevieja Municipal Theatre this time.

The registration period for the Open University courses in November (course 2, of seven sessions, already underway) and December (course 3, four sessions on Artificial Intelligence) is still open: it is free and with free admission until full capacity is reached.
