The School has been, since its inception, part of the Torrevieja Musical Union, since it is there where its students are musically trained and, once they have started in their instrument, they join the Youth Band to work in a group, follow the indications of the director and learn the different technical-musical aspects that complement his musical training. It is made up of about 35 members, although the number usually varies according to availability.

Its activities include the Concert for the delivery of costumes , in the Santa Cecilia festivities, the school concerts organized by the Center for Training, Innovation and Educational Resources (CEFIRE) of Orihuela, the final concert of the school year , concerts in the different Torrevieja schools,

The Torrevejense Musical Union, also known as UMT, is one of the main cultural societies in Torrevieja, Alicante. It was founded in 1896 by Antonio Gil Lucco and re-founded in 1927 with its current name.
