Young Symphony Orchestra of Torrevieja

The Torrevieja Symphony Orchestra was born in 2008 under the direction of Mr. José Francisco Sánchez, whose first concert took place at the Real Club Náutico de Torrevieja.

This was the first stone of what would later become the Young Symphony Orchestra of Torrevieja. This orchestra began its journey in 2010 under the direction of José Francisco Sánchez with a presentation concert at the Palacio de la Música on July 10, and in 2011 the current director Mr. Adolfo Arronis Ruiz (Maestro of musical education, Bachelor of Cello and Master of musical research).

As for their repertoire, they have interpreted works such as: violin concerto in Lam, cello concerto by Vivaldi, Sibelius, Suite by Carmen by G. Bizet, Little Serenade Noctura by Mozart, Suite Sencilla y Miniature by Santiago Quinto Serna, Divertimento 3 by Mozart , Beethoven's 1st Symphony, Dvorak's 8th Symphony, etc. As well as different soundtracks such as: The Lord of the Rings, Pirates of the Caribbean, Pearl Harbor, Harry Potter, Schindler's List, etc.

In recent years the orchestra has considerably increased its number of members, currently having 34 members in the string section, 25 in the horn section and 5 percussionists.

The vast majority of the components are middle-grade students from Torrevieja, Orihuela, Cartagena, Murcia, Almoradí, Elda and Elche, while others are finishing their training at the various higher conservatories.
