The Department of Fiestas presents the bases to elect the new Queen of Salt and her ladies

The new rules contemplate the election of the Salinera Court that will be in force during the 2021/2022 financial year as the maximum representation of the Torrevieja festivities. In the same figures that all participants must be born in Torrevieja or be registered in the city for the last 5 years, with an age between 18 and 28 years.

The deadline for submitting applications is set on Monday, September 20 at 1:00 p.m. All applications must be delivered to the offices of the Party Department, located on the 4th floor of the Torrevieja Municipal Theater (c / Clemente Gosálves S / N). The delivery schedule will be from 09:00 to 13:00, Monday through Friday, except holidays.

The Department of Fiestas, as usual, will make up a jury that will conduct a series of interviews with all the candidates. The entire process is expected to culminate with the proclamation of the new Torrevieja salt court, in the weeks prior to the 2021 patron saint festivities.

RULES FOR THE ELECTION OF THE QUEEN AND LADIES OF THE SALT OF TORREVIEJA 2021/2022

The Department of Festivities of the Hon. Torrevieja City Council, establishes these bases to regulate all aspects related to the election of the Queen and Ladies of the Salt of Torrevieja, a Queen and two Ladies, as well as the development of their functions that will initially run from the period of

selection until the coronation of the next Queen and Ladies, during the period of time between 2021 and 2022.

All applicants for Queen and Ladies will fill out an application that will imply acceptance of these bases and the implicit commitments to their position.

The Queen and Ladies of the Salt of Torrevieja, are the maximum representation of the Torrevieja Festivities, as well as an example of the character and local customs and of Torrevieja women. It also forms the continuation of the tradition of the election of Queen and Ladies of Salt that began in 1963, as well as other titles from the beginning of the last century.

1.- The participants will be natives of Torrevieja or will be registered in Torrevieja for at least the last five years.

2.-The minimum age of the applicants is established at 18 years and the maximum at 28 years.

3.- All applicants must present a curriculum vitae in which they will specify their training, their tastes and hobbies, their vision of the city and its parties, as well as in all the aspects in which in one way or another they participate in the city . (Festivities, culture, sport ...).

They will also attach a photocopy of their identity card and photographs of first, middle and general plan, which will be used for the preparation of a candidate file. These photographs may be distributed among the media for general knowledge.

4.- The maximum period for submitting applications is set on Monday, September 20, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. All applications must be delivered to the offices of the Party Council, located on the 4th floor of the Torrevieja Municipal Theater. C / Clemente Gosálvez S / N. The delivery schedule will be from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Monday through Friday except holidays.

5.- All the applicants accept their participation in the selection process that will be determined by the Department of Fiestas and that, among other things, will consist of a series of interviews with the members of a jury that will be determined by the Department itself and which will meet at the effect.

Likewise, those selected to be part of the Salinera Court will participate in the necessary preparation in order to configure the Gala of Proclamation and Coronation of the Queen of Salt. The Department of Fiestas will coordinate with each one of them everything necessary to achieve with satisfaction the goal set.

All of them will also participate in the end of the reign by taking part in the farewell act, according to the provisions of the Party Council.

6.- The members of the Salinera Court (Queen and Ladies of Salt) undertake, once the selection and subsequent proclamation and coronation have been produced, to attend whatever acts or press appearances are required of them through the Department of Fiestas that, through the appropriate means, will transfer the corresponding invitation and initiate the appropriate conversation to facilitate and detail the assistance.
