Youth opens the registration period for the child and youth educational free time activities monitor course

The youth councilor of the Torrevieja City Council, Domingo Paredes, reports that the Youth Council, through the Youth Information and Animation Center (CIAJ), has opened the registration period for the Free Time Activities Monitor Course Educational Infant and Youth with a duration of 215 hours.

Domingo Paredes informs that this course, highly demanded by Torrevieja youth, is subsidized by the Alicante Chamber of Commerce within the Comprehensive Qualification and Employment Program (PICE) and is totally free for young people between the ages of 18 and 29. , registered in the National Youth Guarantee System. The course will begin in October at the CIAJ facilities.

During the course, students will learn the tools to perform the basic functions of free time monitor, providing training to organize, stimulate and evaluate educational leisure activities aimed at children and youth, applying specific techniques of group animation. In addition, it includes specific training in social skills and employability to improve the incorporation of students into the labor market.

The mayor of Youth has indicated that as a requirement to access the course, in addition to age and being enrolled in the National Youth Guarantee System, it is necessary to have completed Compulsory Secondary Education (ESO).

Places are limited (25 in total), so if at the end of the term more applications had been received than available places, a lottery would be made for places to be awarded.
