It is a familiarization trip (fam trip) organized by the Costa Blanca Provincial Tourist Board, in collaboration with the Torrevieja City Council, and the Spanish tourism office in Copenhagen.

The Danish journalist has been received by a tourist informant from the tourist office during her three-day visit. During his stay in the city he visited the Natural Park of the Lagunas de Torrevieja and La Mata, where he was able to enjoy the Visitor Reception Center, where he could take a walk through the vineyards with an explanation about the production of wine from its cultivation until bottling by the company Sopla Levante, as well as a bicycle tour of the park in the company of a guide from the Forestbike company, who knows the same perfectly, ending the day with a walk along the coast of the La area. He also visited the city center from the Sea and Salt Museum, the Torrevieja Casino Cultural Society, passing through the historic complex of Las Eras de la Sal. He ended his stay in Torrevieja with a visit to the pink lagoon of Las Salinas accompanied by Luis Díez, who showed her the salt industry, being able to see in situ the activity that they carry out there.

Hanne Olsen had already planned to visit Torrevieja last year but due to the restrictions of the COVID-19 pandemic, she had to delay her trip. The Danish journalist became interested in the city through the pink lagoon, and wanted to learn more about the environmental offer.
