The Councilor for Sports, Diana Box, accompanied the XXV Women's Handball World Cup mascot "Lola" to visit the Virgen del Carmen school this morning. This activity is included within the actions that have been planned for the celebration of this sporting event that is based in Torrevieja.
In the words of Councilor Diana Box "this activity allows us to involve all the boys and girls of Torrevieja in the historic event that is being held in our city." In addition to the Virgen del Carmen school, Lola has visited the schoolchildren of the La Purísima and Acequión educational centers, and will continue during the next 25, 26, 29 and 30 November visiting the rest of the educational centers of the city.
The activity lasts approximately half an hour. Lola upon arrival at the educational center is received by the center's management team. Once at the facilities, the boys and girls wait for her in the courtyard where, after greeting her and talking to her, they dance to the World Cup song under Lola's instructions. "The boys and girls are delighted with Lola's visit to their schools" were the words of the Councilor for Sports after visiting the Virgen del Carmen school.
Tomorrow, Thursday, November 25, Lola will visit the schools: Salvador Russo, Gratiniano Baches and Cuba. On Friday, November 26, it will be the turn of the Inmaculada School, Habaneras and the Alpe Center. On Monday, November 29, he will visit the schoolchildren of the Nuestra Señora del Rosario school, Ciudad del Mar and Las Culturas. This activity will end on Tuesday, November 30 with a visit to the Amanecer school and the Romualdo Ballester school.
