Torrevieja has revalidated the six blue flags of its beaches. In this way, in Cala Piteras, Los Náufragos, El Cura, Los Locos, Cabo Cervera and La Mata-Sur, the blue flag that certifies the quality of the beaches and coves of Torrevieja will wave this summer.

The six blue flags that will wave on our beaches certify their care and maintenance, 365 days a year, and serve to recognize the intense work that the Department of Beaches of the Torrevieja City Council, directed by Antonio Vidal, carries out in the comprehensive management of its beaches, so that it can serve as a stimulus in the continuous improvement of their quality and of the service provided to the thousands of users who enjoy them daily.

This award is an international distinction that recognizes the high quality of the water of a beach, as well as rewards the effort, public and citizen, to meet the required criteria of legality, accessibility, health, environmental education, cleanliness and safety of the beaches.

Antonio Vidal has stressed that it is a priority of the Government team to continue choosing and obtaining new recognitions that certify the quality of Torrevieja's beaches, as a commitment to the citizens and the thousands of tourists who visit us.

In addition, it should be noted that the Club Náutico Marina Internacional, the Real Club Náutico de Torrevieja and, for the first time, Marina Internacional de Torrevieja, have also obtained the Blue Flag for the rational use of resources in their facilities and nautical activities and awareness on protection of the marine environment and sustainable navigation.

Finally, the Centro Azul 2022 award has also been revalidated by the Torrevieja and La Mata Lagoons Natural Park Visitors Center.
