Agamed has received from the Ministry of Equality of the Government of Spain the distinction 'Equality in the Company', awarded to those entities that stand out in the application of policies of equal treatment and opportunities with their male and female workers. Agamed, the mixed economy company formed by Hidraqua and the Torrevieja City Council that manages the integral water cycle in the city, has been one of the recognized companies.

In this way, AGAMED becomes part of the network of companies with the 'Equality in the Company' distinction (Red DIE), made up of 168 companies in Spain after the calls carried out between 2010 and 2020, and which is configured as a Common space for the exchange of good practices and dynamism of equality policies in the business sector.

Among the policies and initiatives that have led the company to obtain this recognition is the implementation of equality plans, on a voluntary basis, since 2011. Thus, in 2020, the III Equality Plan was approved, integrated by 42 measures, being one of the first plans registered in accordance with the new regulations.
