The repainting of horizontal road markings throughout the municipality of Torrevieja is at a good pace

The Councilor for Police, Mobility and Traffic of the City Council of Torrevieja, Federico Alarcón, has reported that the repainting of the horizontal road markings throughout the municipality is going at a good pace since it began, a month ago now. The action program planned by the council began in Torreta III and has now reached different areas and urbanizations such as Nueva Torrevieja, Aguas Nuevas, Los Altos, the district of La Mata or the roads adjacent to the educational centers of the town. In addition to the repainting of horizontal road markings, the inclusion of pictograms at pedestrian crossings is being established in order to improve everyone's safety.

Federico Alarcón explained that the repainting work includes up to a total of five work teams that carry out the actions, most of them at dawn, in order to affect the city's road traffic as little as possible.

Likewise, the mayor of Mobility and Traffic has indicated that over the next few months the repainting of the entire city will continue in those areas that need it most, until the entire municipality is completed.

It should be noted that the action program has divided the municipality of Torrevieja into several zoned sectors, anticipating that the repainting of each of them will last approximately one month, so it is expected that in a year the entire city will already be completed.

Federico Alarcón has recalled that the award of this important contract is for 4 years, with an amount of 450,000 euros per year, which represents a global amount of 1,800,000 euros (VAT included). The winning company is imesAPI SA
