The Councilor for Education of the City Council of Torrevieja, Ricardo Recuero; the president of Rotary Club Torrevieja, María Ángeles Pérez Sáez; and the deputy manager of AGAMED, Gemma Cruz, have presented this morning the third call for the Comedor Scholarships aimed at boys and girls from the city who have not been able, for various reasons, to have access to the scholarships granted by the Conselleria of Education of the Generalitat.

This project of collaboration and social action that began in the year 2020, aims to ensure that no student in Torrevieja is left without eating; For this, Rotary Club Torrevieja and AGAMED, as well as various anonymous individuals have put all their economic and solidarity effort to be able to attend to each and every one of the students proposed by the educational centers.

The Councilor for Education has reported that with these scholarships more than 2,000 daily menus can be distributed to about 70 boys and girls throughout the school year. A project that since it began in 2020 intends to have continuity over the next few years, with the firm commitment to be able to attend to all those requests made by educational centers.

Finally, it is worth noting the essential role that both the mixed company that manages the integral water cycle in Torrevieja, AGAMED, and the Rotary Club Torrevieja carry out for the development of these dining scholarships.
