The Councilor for Culture of the City Council of Torrevieja, Antonio Quesada, informs that this coming Sunday, October 9, at 8:00 p.m., the play "A passing man" will be performed at the Municipal Theater, starring the actor Antonio de tower.

The actor from Malaga brings to life on stage a member of the Red Cross who issued erroneous reports about what was happening in the Nazi camps. With the holocaust as a backdrop, the award-winning actor Antonio de la Torre brings this weekend to Torrevieja the play 'Un hombre de paso', a show that marks the return to the theater stages of the performer from Malaga after ten years absent. De la Torre will be accompanied by María Morales and Juan Carlos Villanueva, in a play directed by the filmmaker Manuel Martín Cuenca based on the documentary 'Un vivant qui passe', by Claude Lanzmann.

The dramaturgy is in charge of another great filmmaker, Felipe Vega. The play narrates a fictional encounter between two real characters: the Swiss Maurice Rossel, head of a delegation from the International Red Cross who visited the Nazi death camps without "knowing" what was happening there, and the Jew Primo Levi, a chemist who survived the hell of Auschwitz. An incisive journalist also intervenes in the cast, who puts Rossel on the ropes. Antonio de la Torre describes his character, the Red Cross informant, as "greatly mediocre" and warns that if we don't learn from the mistakes of the past, the atrocities of the Holocaust "could happen again."
