The City Council receives a grant of €7,115,379 for the aid program for rehabilitation actions in residential environments

These aids come from the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan with the Next Generation Funds of the European Union (EU)

The Official Gazette of the Generalitat Valenciana (DOGV) has published today the resolution by which a total of 7,115,379 euros are granted to the Torrevieja City Council for the Aid Program for rehabilitation actions in residential environments, from the Recovery Plan , Transformation and Resilience with the Next Generation Funds of the European Union (EU).

These 7,115,379 euros, which will benefit the citizens of Torrevieja, will be distributed in 6 annual installments:

-2022: 3,557,690 euros.

-2023: 711,538 euros.

-2024: 711,538 euros.

-2025: 711,538 euros.

-2026: 1,423,076 euros.

For the execution of this Plan, 3 areas of action are analyzed that meet the requirements regulating the aid programs in the field of residential rehabilitation and social housing of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan and which are the following:

-Area 1. Delimited by Colonia San Esteban.

-Area 2. Delimited by Torresal street and Patricio Pérez street.

-Area 3. Delimited by the streets Urbano Arregui, Sorolla, Rafal, Solana, Guardamar, Doctor Gregorio Marañón, Doña Sinforosa, Santomera, Los Portalicos, San Miguel de Salinas, Santomera, Greco, Ribera, Rubens,...

In addition, another 800,000 euros are going to be allocated so that the City Council can set up a technical office to manage this important subsidy so that citizens, homeowners or associations of owners can go to present procedures regarding housing, building rehabilitation and urban regeneration, as well as to receive related information. In this way, closer information will be available to improve the housing situation in Torrevieja.

In this office you can request aid to improve homes in terms of energy efficiency, installation of new energy systems, solar panels, insulation, renovation of facades and roofs, etc.

Lastly, it should be noted that 15% of those 7,115,379 euros in grants will go to urban rehabilitation (resurfacing, pedestrian itinerary, rearrangement of sidewalks, accessibility, etc.).
