Hundreds of people celebrate Christmas with a Christmas carol concert in the Plaza de la Constitución

Yesterday, Wednesday, December 14, hundreds of Torrevieja residents of different nationalities gathered at the twentieth edition of the Christmas Carols Concert in English, called Carols in the Square , organized by the Department of International Residents of the Torrevieja City Council since 2002.

The setting of the Plaza de la Constitución was the meeting point to enjoy the first event organized in Torrevieja to celebrate the Christmas holidays, and which was attended by the mayor of Torrevieja, Eduardo Dolón, the deputy mayor of the City Council, Rosario Martínez , the Councilor for International Residents, Gitte Lund, and the Councilor for Security and Emergencies, Federico Alarcón.

The Royal British Legion Band , directed by David Last and made up mainly of retired British musicians residing in Torrevieja, offered this concert together with the Crescendo choir, with the singer Shani Ormiston from Torrevieja as a special guest. Typical Christmas songs interpreted in both English and Spanish was the repertoire of this concert, in which the new Christmas song by Shani Ormiston "More than luck" could also be heard.
