The royal page-postmen will be in Torrevieja on the 3rd and 4th and, in La Mata, on Wednesday the 4th of January

The Torrevieja City Council is finalizing the details for the reception that the city will offer as every year to Their Majesties the Three Kings of the East, thus helping them to fulfill their mission of distributing all kinds of gifts, especially among the little ones. This morning, the Councilor for Fiestas, Concha Sala, has officially presented all the acts prepared to receive the visit of the King and Queen both in Torrevieja and La Mata.

The royal pages and postmen will be in Torrevieja starting tomorrow, Tuesday, January 3, and also on January 4, in the Plaza de la Constitución, at the doors of the Church of the Immaculate Conception, from 4:30 p.m. 7:30 p.m., to collect the letters from all the boys and girls. Also, on January 4 they will be in La Mata, in the Plaza de Encarnación Puchol, between 4:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.

In Torrevieja, the long-awaited Three Kings Parade will begin next Thursday, January 5, at 5:00 p.m., in the port, in the area closest to the entrance to the Casino building and site. From there, the Three Wise Men will walk along the Paseo Vista Alegre road until they reach each of their floats and thus begin their parade through the streets of the city. It will have an entourage of close to 200 people and five floats, the three destined for the Three Kings, one for the Star of Illusion accompanied by a ballet of illuminated stars and another in which the portal of Bethlehem will be staged. The parade will go through the Vista Alegre and La Libertad promenades, to then enter Ramón y Cajal street and from there to Zoa street to pass through the Plaza de Oriente and the Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish. Thus they will reach Ramón Gallud street, reaching the intersection of Patricio Pérez street, then reaching Caballero de Rodas street until the doors of the Church of the Immaculate Conception, where the adoration of the Child Jesus will take place with the assistance of the mayor of the city, Eduardo Dolon. Also, at that time, King Melchor will address a few words of greeting to all the audience present.

Different shows will make up the Royal Parade, such as a group of Jews with donkeys whose mission will be to distribute 2,000 flags and also collect letters from the little ones furthest behind. There will also be an attraction of stilt walkers with lights and King Herod will also participate, on foot, escorted by seven Roman horsemen.

"The Christmas Wish" will take all the spectators of the procession to a recreation of the playground of a children's room, with actors who will capture the impatience of children to receive their gifts. Another show will be that of the "Bollywood Dancers", who will surround the fantasy of a great white elephant and give way to a ballet inspired by the African continent. The dancers will represent women from different tribes and a representation of giraffes. A group of "Carboneros" will also parade, whose characters will be interacting with the public and announcing the possibility that the kings leave gifts of coal. This attraction will have demonstrations of cold pyrotechnics, without noise.

Each float of the magicians will be accompanied by a music band, highlighting the band of the Musical Society "Ciudad de Torrevieja-Los Salerosos". As in each parade organized by the Department of Fiestas, there will be an area especially for people with reduced physical, temporary or transitory mobility that will be located on Ramón Gallud street, in front of number 77, in the vicinity of the corner with the Maria Parodi street.

Finally, in La Mata the Three Wise Men will also arrive, beginning the procession at 6:30 p.m. from Avenida de los Europeos along Calle Mayor to the vicinity of the Virgen del Rosario Parish. Two floats will be part of the entourage of the Magi from the East.
