The Carnet Jove is free from January 1, 2023

The Councilor for Youth of the Torrevieja City Council, Domingo Paredes, reports that the fee to obtain the youth hostel card in the Valencian Community is abolished for the new year 2023, so that all young people between 14 and 30 who wish can Obtain it in physical format and for free, just by filling out the application form at the Youth Information and Animation Center (CIAJ), located at Paseo Juan Aparicio, nº 5.

The youth card is a European discount card in areas such as culture, recreation, sports, consumption, transport and the like, which is valid in more than 30 countries throughout Europe and in youth hostels of the Hostelling International network, located in all the world. In Torrevieja it has around twenty affiliated entities.

Domingo Paredes indicates that the youth hostel card is also available in a digital and free version through the website of the Valencian Youth Institute https://ivaj.gva.es/es/, so that all young people can carry it in their mobile phones.

It is also reported that the Youth Area of the Torrevieja City Council, thanks to the collaboration agreement with the Generalitat Valenciana for the Jove alberguista card, issued a total of 455 cards during the past 2022.
