Everything prepared for the blessing of animals on the day of San Antón

As is traditional, on the occasion of the celebration next Tuesday, January 17, of San Antonio Abad (San Antón), patron saint and protector of animals, each year various blessings for animals are organized with the coordination of the Department of Protection Animal to facilitate the attendance of all participants.

For this reason, next Tuesday, January 17, at 6:00 p.m., the blessing of pets will take place at the doors of the Church of the Immaculate Conception, for which, as reported by the councilor, Concha Sala, a entry and exit lane through the installation of a fence, to order the flow of people with their pets until reaching the moment of the blessing that the parish priest, Manuel Martínez Rocamora, will impart. Later the same will be officiated at 19:30 hours.

Also on Tuesday, January 17, at 6:00 p.m., there will be the blessing of animals at the doors of the Parish Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, in charge of its parish priest Aurelio Ferrándiz, in this year of celebration of the 50th anniversary of the creation of the parish. Then, at 7:00 p.m., mass will be celebrated.

Finally, in La Mata, the blessing of animals will take place on Sunday, January 22. It will be after the 09:30 mass, in the Parish of Nuestra Señora del Rosario, in charge of the parish priest, José Manuel Poveda.
