Under the slogan + CLOSE TO WHAT YOU IMAGINE , the Torrevieja City Council has started a tourism promotion campaign in the heart of Madrid. From January 18 to February 18, the interior corridors of the lobby of the Gran Vía Metro line are decorated with vinyl prints of idyllic images of Torrevieja, among which the pink lagoon of the Natural Park stands out, as well as as prints of the environmental wealth of our city.
The Mayor of Torrevieja, Eduardo Dolón, and the Councilor for Tourism and Deputy Mayor, Rosario Martínez, have visited this metro station to witness in situ the spectacular photographs of Torrevieja that decorate one of the busiest stations in the entire capital of Spain, for the one that thousands of people travel every day, both for leisure and work reasons, accounting for more than one and a half million people per month.
This new promotional action of the city of Torrevieja is carried out coinciding with the celebration of the International Tourism Fair of Madrid (FITUR), and which joins the parade that last Wednesday, January 18, the troupes of the Torrevieja Carnival carried out very close from this metro station, on Calle Preciados, covering it from Plaza de Callao to Puerta del Sol, being a complete success with the public and participation.
Finally, it should be noted that this Gran Vía metro station will be decorated with tourist images of the city for a whole month. One more bet of the Tourism area to promote the wealth of Torrevieja in the main areas and cities of our country.
